Fourth series installment ignores the two middle films but harkens back to the 1985 original. Lambert returns as immortal Connor MacLeod, teaming up with his equally immortal clansman, Duncan (TV "Highlander" Paul), to battle baddie Jacob Kell (Payne). Kell has a long-standing grudge against Connor and doesn't follow the rules of the "game." Numerous flashbacks could be confusing for newcomers but fans will find enjoyment and there is much action and swordplay. Story is so fast-paced that some subplots and characters are left in the dust for the exploits of the three main immortals. The video release contains 12 more minutes of footage and a new ending.
