Unfortunately neither the impressive cast, the beautiful scenery, or the special effects can transform this costumer from being bland and boring. Patrick (who allegedly drove all the snakes out of Ireland) was the privileged son of a nobleman in 5th century Britian, who suffered through six years as a slave before finding his religious calling. Over great opposition, he's eventually appointed as the first bishop of Ireland though he must still struggle with his enemies in the Church of England.
