Adrien (Cluzet) is a serious writer whose work elicits critical but not commercial acclaim. His indecisive friend Gabriel (Amalric) is an editor at a publishing house who has split with long-time love, Jenny (Balibar), for the young Anne (Ledoyen). Meanwhile, Adrien, who's learned he has a terminal illness, plunges into a reckless affair with the teenaged Vera (Hansen-Love). French with subtitles.
