Nutty Professor 2: The Klumps Movie Review 2000

Sequel to the 1996 hit finds Murphy working overtime as Sherman Klump attempts to remove the DNA of his alter ego Buddy Love from his system. Once Buddy escapes, he steals Sherman's latest experiment, a youth serum. Buddy also complicates Sherman's relationship with a beautiful colleague (Jackson) and the entire Klump clan. Expanding a one-joke scene from the original is risky, but Murphy and the writers manage to pull it off rather impressively. Yes, the humor is crude, (the more uptight may even say offensive) but the story is funny and interesting while the characters, if not always appealing, are sympathetic and genuine.
