Space Cowboys Movie Review 2000

Eastwood, starring and directing again, plays a retired Air Force pilot who was passed over for the astronaut training program in the late 1950s. However, now NASA needs his expertise when an ailing 1960s satellite poses a threat if it crashes to Earth. He agrees to go into space and repair it only if he can bring his equally codgerly buddies, Sutherland, Jones, and Garner, to assist. Hey, if John Glenn can go back into space at age 77, why not Eastwood? Fun ensemble piece that successfully weaves some action and thrills into the final act.
