Cage is an ex-car thief who must steal 50 cars in one night in order to save his ne'er-do-well brother (Ribisi) while gung-ho cop Castleback (Lindo) stays on his tail. "Rounding-up-the-old-crew" montage ensues, followed by much highway mayhem and the odd humorous one-liner. As with most Bruckheimer-produced epics, flash and stunts run roughshod over plot and character, but the target audience won't care because the cars just look so damn cool. Jolie is woefully underutilized in the girlfriend/partner-in-crime role. Remake of the 1974 film notable for its 40-minute chase scene.
