Typical TV disaster movie based on the novel by Chuck Scarborough. You're introduced to a bunch of nice people (there's quite a good cast), disaster strikes, death and destruction are everywhere and all it brings out (rather than hysteria, looting, violence and assorted evilness) is good deeds and rescues. Nifty special effects though.
