Wartime adventure based on the exploits (Hollywoodized) of U.S. Naval radio operator George R. Tweed (Hunter), who is stationed on Guam when the Japanese invade. He hides out in the jungle to avoid capture and is aided by the natives for nearly three years until he's able to contact some American warships. Thanks to Tweed's info, the Americans are able to recapture the island.
