The Taxman Movie Review 1998

Al Benjamin (Pantoliano) is an obsessive New York State tax investigator who stumbles across six dead bodies in a Brighton Beach gasoline company while on the job. He teams up with a pain-in-the-butt cop, Joseph Romero (Dominguez), who's proficient in Russian--a necessity in the immigrant community. Their sleuthing leads them to the Russian mob, a scam involving gasoline taxes, and a lot of violence.
