Violent thriller was the directorial debut of 24-year-old Refn. Frank (Bodnia) and his buddy Tonny (Mikkelsen) sell heroin in Copenhagen. Their drug supplier is a Serbian gangster named Milo (Buric), to whom Frank owes money. Things get worse when Frank dumps his latest supply before being arrested--Milo warns him if he doesn't pay his debts in the next couple of days, he's a dead man. The more Frank tries to get the money, the worse things get for him. Danish with subtitles.
