Mother and Son Movie Review 1997

Slow-paced, dreamlike story about a dedicated son's (Ananishnov) caring for his dying mother (Geyer) in their old house in the country. She wishes to go outside--he carries her along a path in the woods and they recall his childhood. She eventually goes back to her bed where they discuss death and she falls asleep, never to waken. Russian with subtitles.
