That Championship Season Movie Review 1999

Tom Daley (Sinise) returns to his hometown for the 20th anniversary of his high-school basketball team's championship victory. A night of nostalgia with Daley, his brother (Kinney), some friends (Shalhoub, D'Onofrio), and their coach (Sorvino, who directed this remake), turns into a drunken rehash of old grievances and the airing of some dirty laundry. Miller adapted his 1973 Pulitzer Prize-winning play, which he also directed for the big screen in 1982.
