Moore plays two roles: Marie is an American widow and mother living in France while Marty is a hard-charging single New York literary agent. Marie falls asleep and wakes up as Marty and vice versa. Marie/Marty can't tell anymore which of her two worlds is real and things get even more complicated when each persona falls for an appealing man (Skarsgard in France, Fichtner in New York). It's not really confusing since the script is so simplistic and both her lives turn out to be remarkably dull (as is Moore's performance). English-language debut for Berliner and Moore's first film since 1997's "G.I. Jane."
