Rohmer's extremely stylized version of Chretien de Troyes unfinished 12th century poem. Young Welsh knight Perceval (Luchini) comes to a mysterious castle where he sees a vision of the Holy Grail, although he doesn't recognize it. In the morning, the castle is deserted and Perceval resumes his wanderings. When he finally realizes what he has seen, the castle has disappeared and Perceval continues with his search for the Grail. French with subtitles.
