Margit (Hoffmann) has two children and two divorces after marrying men who wanted her more than she wanted them. So when Margit decides to take a third chance on love, she resolves to do the choosing. She picks unsuspecting colleague Hrdlistchka (Ludwig) and is determined to get him to say yes.
