Joe Torre: Curveballs Along the Way Movie Review 1997

Bio of manager Torre (Sorvino), who's hired by George Steinbrenner (Welsh) in 1996 to coach the New York Yankees. The Yanks actually start winning and Torre takes them all the way to the World Series (they win), but his triumph is marred by family heartbreak, as his brother Frank (Loggia) is in the hospital awaiting a heart transplant. Not bad for a quickie cable biopic, but only because the cast is outstanding.
