Flamboyant biopic of powerful journalist/radio personality Walter Winchell (Tucci), whose career stretched from the 1930s into the '50s. Winchell blurred the line between hard news and tabloid gossip and used his influence politically to re-elect President Roosevelt and get the U.S. involved in WWII. But he was also arrogant and mean-spirited and his grandiosity eventually proved to be his downfall. Based on the 1976 book "Walter Winchell: His Life and Times" by Winchell's longtime ghostwriter Herman Klurfeld.
