Disturbing and convoluted military thriller based on the 1992 bestseller by Nelson DeMille. Paul Brenner (Tavolta) is an Army criminal investigator whose latest case is the rape and murder of Capt. Elisabeth Campbell (Stefanson), whose father (Cromwell) is a legendary general. Elisabeth specialized in psychological warfare but she had more than a few mental problems of her own. Naturally, for the good of the service, everyone but Brenner would like a quick and tidy solution to the sleazy goings-on. Goes a little too over the top (including some performances) and you may come out wondering just who done what.
