After Hope and Ross sang "Thanks for the Memory" in "The Big Boradcast of 1938," Paramount decided to capitalize on its popularity in this lame comedy. Steve Merrick (Hope) tends to the house while trying to write a novel. Meanwhile, wife Anne (Ross) is working as a model to support the couple. Steve rebels against being a "kept man" and their marriage enters shaky ground until they come to their senses.
