Go-go gadget script rewrite! The popular cartoon character goes live-action with Broderick in the title role. Blown to pieces by the evil Dr. Claw (Everett), a naive security guard is put back together by scientist Brenda Bradford (Fisher) with a vast array of grafted-on gizmos. Gadget becomes the world's top detective and discovers that Claw also murdered Brenda's father. In his battle against Claw, he is forced to fight his evil robot twin in order to clear his own name. The computer generated effects are eye-catching but far too brief, and Broderick is forced to react lamely to them most of the time.
