The Haunting of Hell House Movie Review 1999

Remember when Hammer Studios made all those horror movies based on Edgar Allan Poe stories and they were a lot of campy fun (if not truly creepy)? Well, that's what this Victorian Gothic wants to (or should) be and isn't. Tormented James (Bowen) took his girlfriend to an abortionist and she died. James seeks advice from the mysterious Professor Ambrose (York), whose family past is also filled with tragedy.
