Hong Kong or Hay River Movie Review 1996

Provides a unique exploration of the immigrant experience through the eyes of Wu Meihua, a 30-year-old woman who has just received her Canadian citizenship. After finding only low-paying menial jobs, she travels to the Northwest Territories when an opportunity arises. There she discovers that her journey is not over.
