Mighty Space Miners Movie Review 1994

Years in the future, Earth is able to mine ore from other planets and asteroids. Space miners are extraordinarily hearty people who easily accept danger as a daily part of life. But, on the very day young Ushikawa is applying for his pilot's license, there's a terrible accident and now everyone has to scramble to survive. A decent disaster flick told primarily through the eyes of a resourceful boy. The main drawback to this title is that is was meant to be the start of a series. That series never materialized, leaving the ending somewhat disappointing. Otherwise, it's interesting with good action and animation, but certain aspects of the plot are sometimes difficult to follow. Based on the story by Horceman Lunchfield.
