Judge Movie Review 1991

Two men have done evil in the name of financial gain. The Judge of Darkness, who walks the Earth disguised as an ordinary salaryman, knows their secrets. This bizarre depiction of the old saw "what goes around comes around," finds punishment being meted out in apt ways. This anime begins and ends well, but gets bogged down in the middle with a somewhat unwieldy confrontation. Disappointingly, the Judge himself is never fully explained. Still, the basic idea is good and there are some interesting moments. Based on the story by Fujihiko Hosono.
