The Guyver: Bio-Booster Armour, Data 1 Movie Review 1989

The evil Chronos Corporation is turning humans into weapons. One of its victims steals a mysterious device from a secret lab and escapes. He's pursued by a Zoanoid commando unit. Although they appear to be relatively normal humans, they have already been transformed into hideous monsters by Chronos. Meanwhile, high school students Sho and Tetsuro are taking a walk that will change their lives forever. There's lots of action as the characters and situations for the series are established. There are also some realistic human reactions to the events that unfold. This episode, "The Genesis of the Guyver," begins a 12-volume series. Based on the original story by Yoshiki Takaya.
