Such a Long Journey Movie Review 1998

Bank clerk Gustad Noble has a modest life that is beginning to fall apart. First his young daughter becomes very ill and then his son defies Gustad's ambitions for him. Finally, he receives a letter from an old friend asking for his help and Gustad finds himself caught up in unexpected danger and deception. Set in Bombay in 1971, as India prepares for war, and based on the novel by Rohinton Mistry.
