Saint Maybe Movie Review 1998

Quietly affecting family saga adapted from the novel by Anne Tyler. Heedless Ian Bedloe (McCarthy) is disturbed when his older brother Danny (Nordling) impulsively marries scatty divorcee Lucy (Parker) who has two kids. When Lucy gets pregnant, Ian's interference results in a double tragedy. Seeking to atone for his mistake, Ian discovers the Church of the Second Chance and he decides to raise his brother's three children.
