It's 1978, and a group of dim Kiss fans will do anything to get into a sold-out Detroit concert. And non-Kiss fans should do anything to get out of watching this movie. Manages to be tasteless and humorless even when it's not obviously annoying. Co-producer Gene Simmons and the boys only perform the title song, so Kiss fans will be left searching their neighborhood for an Old Folks Kabuki Theater for a fix of the elderly in makeup. Director Rifkin re-created the 1978 Kiss Love Gun Show with the band performing in that haven of heavy metal: Hamilton, Ontario?
