Desert Blue Movie Review 1998

Baxter, California is a tiny (pop. 87) desert town whose one claim to fame is a towering re-creation of an ice cream cone that has drawn the attention of pop culture prof Lance (Heard). Lance has come to Baxter with his snooty teen TV star daughter, Skye (Hudson), and the duo are trapped in town when it's quarantined by a toxic spill. Skye eventually connects to the town's disaffected teens, including Blue (Sexton), Pete (Affleck), and Ely (Ricci).
