Everything That Rises Movie Review 1998

Quaid directs (his debut) and stars in this movie about tough rancher Jim Clay who struggles to hold onto the land that's been in his family for generations. An uncommunicative man, Jim is forced to re-examine his life when his young son Nathan (Merriman) is rendered a paraplegic after an auto accident caused by his dad. Winningham is devoted, stoic wife Kyle and Presnell is aging cowpoke/family friend Garth.
