Charles Dickens' last completed novel follows the complicated saga of John Harmon (Mackintosh), who must consent to a prearranged marriage if he's to inherit a fortune. But when fate allows Harmon to assume a new identity, he decides to see what anonymity will bring him. Meanwhile, Harmon's life and death also brings together low-born Lizzie Hexum and wastrel lawyer Eugene Wrayburn, who develops an unexpected affection for the lovely young woman. On 3 cassettes.
