Slow and tedious romance, set in 14th-century Norway, and based on the novel "Kransen" by Sigrid Undset. Teenaged Kristin causes much grief for her family when she rejects an arranged marriage to a decent man her father has chosen for the more exciting but morally dubious nobleman Erland.
