A Soldier's Sweetheart Movie Review 1998

Bored Vietnam soldier, Rat (Sutherland), narrates the unlikely story of Marianne (Gates). Her high school boyfriend, Fossie (Ulrich), is a lonely medic who manages to bring Marianne over to join him. All the guys in the squad fall for her, but Marianne falls in love with the excitement/uncertainty/terror of war. Adapted from the story "Sweetheart of the Song Tra Bong" by Tim O'Brien.
