In the ninth film, Captain Picard (Stewart) goes to Data's (Spiner) rescue when the android seemingly goes berserk while on a scientific mission to investigate the non-techno culture of the peaceful Ba'ku. What Picard discovers is a planet that's virtually a fountain of youth and a dastardly plan by the Federation and the evil Son'a, led by bitter Ru'afro (Abraham), to gain the secret even though it means destroying the planet to do so. More humor and romance than usual done in the typical professional manner of the franchise.
