Snotty college kid Jake (Thomas) wants to teach his Dad a lesson by boycotting Christmas and stealing away to Mexico with his girlfriend (Biel). Jake thinks his Dad remarried too soon after his mother's death, but is bribed home with his Dad's prized Porshe (now there's a lesson for the kids) if he can arrive for Christmas Eve dinner. A series of absurd mishaps ensue (almost all of which occur because Jake is a lying, cheating jerk) as he makes his away cross-country while glued inside of a Santa suit. The characters are superficial and at times downright annoying. This run of the mill holiday stinker will likely only appeal to Thomas' legion of teenage groupies.
