Another in the nudge-and-wink genre of horror movies. Screen scream alumni litter the screen in this ode to modern tall tales that may have actually happened to the friend of a cousin of a friend of yours. Natalie (Watt) is the standard good girl who doesn't know why her friends are getting knocked off, even though her folklore prof (Englund) is the guy who played Freddy Krueger, and the voice of Chucky the evil doll is now coming out of her gas station attendant (Dourif). The killer uses urban legends as the theme of his crimes, but he never makes anyone eat Pop Rocks then drink Pepsi. Characters are so irritating you'll cheer when they die.
