I Want You Movie Review 1998

Smokey (Mitevska) and her mute brother Honda (Petrusic) are Central European refugees in the British seaside town of Haven. Honda is shyly entranced by Helen (Weisz), who is trying to deal with her old boyfriend, paroled con Martin (Nivola). Martin becomes increasingly violent towards Helen and Hondo comes to her rescue, but there's more to her relationship with Martin than Helen wants to admit. Winterbottom often flirts with the darker side of human nature and does so again in this rather thinly plotted Brit noir.
