Director Abrahams returns to the "Airplane" well once again as he takes aim at the Mafia movies of Coppola and Scorsese. As usual, the results are hit and miss, with the joke machine gun set on full automatic. Plot follows that of the Godfather trilogy most closely, with Bridges (in his last film) as klutzy patriarch Vincenzo Cortino. His sons, sensitive war hero Anthony (Mohr) and hot tempered Joey (Burke), wrestle for control of the keystone kriminal empire after pop takes the dirt nap. Basically, the actors' jobs are to remain deadpan while all manner of shenanigans and hijinks take place and hilarity allegedly ensues. This genre is quickly running out of ammo. It's time for someone to administer the kiss of death.
