Next Stop, Wonderland Movie Review 1998

Charming romance, set in Boston, about a couple of odd ducks who are totally right for each other. Waifish Eric (Davis) is a nurse whose boyfriend Sean (Hoffman) has just left her. So her meddling mom Piper (Taylor) secretly places a personal ad to get her daughter some dates. They're a bunch of losers but plumber/marine-biology student Alan (Gelfant), whom Erin keeps seeing on the subway is Mr. Right. If only the duo could get together. Intelligent characters and a terrific bossa nova soundtrack. Title refers to the name of an actual subway stop.
