The Ice House Movie Review 1997

Chilling TV adaptation of Minette Walters' first mystery. Ten years ago Phoebe Maybury's (Downie) abusive husband David disappeared. Locally condemned as a murderess, she and her friends Diana (Barber) and Anne (Aldridge) have been shunned by their small-minded community. Now a body has been discovered in an ice house located on Maybury property. Is it David? Inspector Walsh (Redgrave), who couldn't prove anything against Phoebe before, certainly thinks so, but his on-the-edge associate Sgt. McLoughlin (Craig) isn't so certain.
