Director Barbara Kopple's documentary follows Woody Allen on a European tour with his New Orleans-style jazz band. The reclusive director gave Kopple unlimited access, and allowed himself and wife-to-be Soon Yi Previn to be body microphoned for a glimpse into their personal lives. Although it glosses over the controversy of his courtship of Soon Yi, Allen comes across like one of his screen characters: a neurotic but still likeable guy prone to one-liners. May show a little too much adoration for Allen, but that's to be expected if you notice that his producer Jean Doumanian also co-produced.
