Kindred: The Embraced Movie Review 1996

Eight-episode TV series (on 3 cassettes) concerns five connected vampire clans living in San Francisco. Each possesses one particular trait (mobsters, artists, businessmen, etc.) and have formed an uneasy alliance to prevent their discovery. Infractions by clan members come under the jurisdiction of vampire prince, Julian Luna (Frankel). But not even Julian can prevent a suspicious detective (Howell) and a tenacious reporter (Rutherford) from investigating a series of murders linked to the clans. Based on Mark Rein-Hagen's novel "Vampire: The Masquerade."
