Brash magazine editor Robin Monroe (Heche) is on a tropical vacation with fiance Frank (Schwimmer) when a deadline crisis forces her to ask gruff cargo pilot Quinn Harris (Ford) for a lift to Tahiti. A plane crash strands the incompatible duo on a remote island and naturally they need each other to survive. This started out as a routine romantic comedy but the action quotient was upped as filming progressed, thanks to a storyline involving modern-day pirates that's a waste of time. Also a waste are scenes involving Frank with Quinn's bodacious babe, Angelica (Obradors). Why does the only other woman with a significant part have to be a coochie-coo Charo impersonator? Thankfully, Ford and Heche do have considerable sass between them. Filmed on location in Kauai.
