Awkward film reflects the relationship between Jane Hatchard (Bonham Carter), a wheelchair-bound woman suffering from a motor-neurological disease, and her eccentric, reluctant caregiver, Richard (Branagh). Richard is an artist who dreams of human flight, and one of his attempts gets him assigned to community service and to the independent, dying Jane. Her one wish is to lose her virginity but Richard won't oblige, although he's willing to set her up with a gigolo (Stevenson). Flirts with bad taste and is generally worth watching because of Bonham Carter's fierce performance.
