Splendor Movie Review 1935

Typical romantic weepie finds beautiful-but-poor Phyllis (Hopkins) marrying into the snobby clan of Brighton Lorrimore (McCrea). His family (whose fortunes are sliding) want to break the duo up and push Phyllis towards an affair with wealthy broker Martin (Cavanagh). There's a scandal and the Lorrimore's separate but true love conquers all, as you expect.
