A Call to Remember Movie Review 1997

Paula Rubinek (Danner) and David Tobias (Mantegna) are concentration camp survivors who both had their spouses and children killed by the Nazis. They've married, moved to America, and are living in the suburbs with their two sons and trying to forget the past, which causes problems for their children. But Paula's quiet world explodes when she receives a phone call notifying her that a son she thought died in the war has in fact survived. Writer Eisenberg based this drama on his parents' history.
