Lame would-be comedy based on Shapiro's stage play, which also starred Kellerman. She's college prof M.J. Dankworth, who suspects hubby Harvey (Begley Jr.) is tossing their tired marriage aside to shtupp his well-endowed grad student Muriel (Taylor). So she hires a P.I. (Margolin) to snoop but he's more interested in his client. Then the marrieds seek out (different) psychiatrists for help and M.J. indulges her rage in silly fantasy scenes. Don't waste your time.
