Bland remake of Disney's "The Absent-Minded Professor" with Williams as the befuddled, yet brilliant Prof. Brainard. Putting his wedding on the back Bunsen burner, much to the dismay of his fiancee Sara Jean (Harden), Brainard invents a bouncy, flying green slime named "flubber." As the substance becomes the cure-all for romantic turmoil and fledging school basketball teams, it also attracts the attention of a corrupt businessman and his moronic henchmen. Due to the dull subplots, kids and adults will be disappointed that the main attraction (the cute green goo) doesn't have much screen time. Williams, oddly enough, seems comfortable playing second banana to a substance that could describe his comedic skills.
