Marcy (Tunney) is a victim of Tourette's Syndrome, which causes the sufferer to twitch and unleash strings of profanity that would make a longshoreman blush. She meets shy, introverted Seth (Thomas) while they're both shoplifting, and it's love at first sight. They hit the road, supposedly for a doll that Marcy believes can be found in Toronto, but in reality because they are already outcasts at home. When Seth is injured in a botched pharmacy robbery, they're taken in by fellow oddball Walter, a tow truck driver who dotes on a pet chicken named after his dead wife. All of these lost characters are on a road to nowhere, and are pulled apart by Marcy's bourbon-fueled tics and tantrums. Compelling performance by Tunney carries the rest of this dull, flat movie on its back.
