Semi-retired bookie Harry Arno (Falk) is forced to head out of Miami when his mobster boss realizes Harry's been skimming. So he takes off for the Italian Riviera with ex-stripper girlfriend Joyce (Headly), while being trailed by doofus U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (LeGros), who's trying to keep Harry alive so the feds can get his testimony against his gangster cohorts. Falk's gruff, Headly's smart, LeGros is a laugh, and the movie's vivid since it's taken from Elmore Leonard's 1993 novel.
